This ancient practice from the Far East has exploded in the West. It can make you look and feel gorgeous. Once attributed to yield supernatural powers, in modern life, this system gives practitioners the kind of vitality and zest for life that makes turning 100 years old seem like just another number. This magical, mystical practice is called yoga, now the title of a popular American health magazine and practiced by millions since it's popularization in the West the last few decades.

But for some seeking this ancient elixir of life there have been problems. The postures and asanas prove difficult or harmful if attempted by the non-adept. This has led to many popular yoga books warning to only attempt these practices under the direct supervision of a teacher.

Yoga - the Feldenkrais Way utilizes the knowledge of the incredible Feldenkrais Method to make it possible for anyone to benefit directly from Yoga without fear of harming themselves and without the need of direct supervision.

This is yoga for people who have had difficulty with yoga in the past. It is an approach to this ancient system of postures or "asanas" in a modern innovative, empirical way. These lessons provide the flexibility you need to do yoga safely in the privacy of your own own home.

THE BOWING BACK
The Bowing Back is an extreme position that yoga practioners seek to energize their body. Extending and arching the back counteracts all of the bending-forward types of movements that we do every day and greatly improves posture.

It is often difficult for people to arch their back & grab their ankles. This Feldenkrais Lesson will make it possible and easy to do for many.

THE SHOULDER STAND
Now here is a way to rejuvenate yourself. This pose places the body in an upside down position.

Because this movement requires an inverted position you are lengthening the back muscles & stimulating the network of nerves that connect to the spinal cord.

In addition, the compression of the abdomen stimulates the intestines, the liver, the sex organs, and the thyroid gland revitalizing your entire body.

This pose is taught in steps. Each step creates easy access to standing on your shoulders.
